It all started when I found myself drowning in a sea of trading cards, each one holding a piece of nostalgia and a story of its own. I loved the thrill of collecting, but I couldn't help but feel that my treasures deserved a better fate than being hidden away in storage.
Driven by this frustration and the vision of creating a unique display solution, I embarked on a journey to find the perfect card stands that matched what I envisioned. However, no matter how hard I looked, I couldn't find anything that lived up to my expectations. It was at that moment I decided to take matters into my own hands!
With a 3D printer freshly aqcuired (orignally for printing toys for my kids, which I still do!) and a desire to bring my vision to life, I began experimenting. At first, my lack of designing skills led to failures, a ton of trial and error, and a lot of learning. I encountered setbacks, and there were moments when I questioned whether I could turn my dream into a reality. But I persevered, fueled by my determination to provide my card collection with the display it deserved.
After countless hours of refinement when I had some free time after work, I finally created a design that not only met my expectations but exceeded them. My 3D printer whirred away as I produced stands for my entire precious card collection, turning my vision into a tangible reality.
The overwhelming support I received along the way inspired me to turn my passion into a business. I wanted to offer collectors like you the opportunity to bring their trading card displays to life, just as I had done for myself. And thus, Show My Cards was born.
